Berlin, 8 March 2019
The aviation company Walter (Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter – LGW) is switching to the Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group on 1stof April. The Cartel Office approved the takeover on Thursday, 7 March 2019, so that nothing stands in the way of the change. The takeover also marks the start of a longer-term wet lease agreement between the regional airline LGW and the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings.
Zeitfracht Managing Director Wolfram Simon-Schröter said: “I am very pleased that the Cartel Office has given its approval and that we can complete the takeover as planned. We would like to welcome the LGW staff to our company”.
The LGW fleet currently consists of 17 Dash Q8 aircraft. For the LGW employees, the switch to the Zeitfracht Group will not change anything; their contracts will remain unchanged. The Cologne-based airline WDL-Aviation already belongs to the Berliner Zeitfracht Group.
